Summer Intensive Irish Dance Courses 2011
In the last 40 years approx. 8000 teachers, dancers, students and group leaders from all over the World have come to participate in Summer Intensive Irish Dance, Culture and Heritage Courses organised by the Irish National Folk Company.
Most of the courses take place in St Enda's National Historic Park/Pearse Museum one of Irelands most famous historic properties.
St Endas School was the first school in Ireland which had Irish Dancing,Music, Heritage and Folklore on its curriculm and was the leading college for the revival of Irish culture.
Visiting students have the unique oppertunity to study in one of Irelands most historic settings while walking in the footsteps of many of Irelands most famous patriots.
The park has 50 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland, rivers and courtyards.
When the weather permits the courses take place in the walled garden which must be one of the most beautiful dance locations in Europe.

The park is situated at the foothills of the Dublin Mountains in Rathfarnham approx. 5 miles from the center of Dublin City.
You can take a bus from outside the gate to the centre of the city, the journey will take approx. 20 minutes.
Participants attending the courses at St Enda's are accommodated in local host families and over the years great friendship has been developed between host families and their guests.
All host families are located close to St Enda's within walking distance.
