St. Enda's is one of the most famous National Monuments in Ireland and has been a sanctuary of Irish Culture since 1786. St. Enda's is set in 50 acres of beautiful gardens, walks, rivers and woodland situated in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains.

Some of the most famous names in modern Irish history involved in Irish culture and education have been associated and involved with St. Enda's including Padraig Pearse (teacher, poet, dramatist), Willie Pearse (teacher, artist), W.B. Yeats (poet and dramatist), Patrick Tuohy(artist and past pupil of St. Endas) , Douglas Hyde (scholar and first president of Ireland), Eoin McNeil (scholar and the founder of the Gaelic League),Thomas McDonagh (teacher,poet,writer), Eamon Ceannt (piper, member of the Gaelic league) and Vincent O' Brien (musician and music teacher).

Since 1991 St. Enda's has been the headquarters of the Irish National Folk Company who are developing and preserving St. Enda's as a living Arts and Cultural Centre for the Nation where people come from all over the world to share their knowledge and exchange ideas in a peaceful and historic setting.
