The founding director Frank Whelan was appointed as Vice President of The International Scientific Commission for Folklore from 2009-2013

Frank Whelan was awared the International Oscar for Folklore in Italy in 2009.

Frank Whelan for the 4th successive term was unanimously relected president of EFCO-European Folk Culture Organisation with members in 36 European countries working in partnership with the European Union and the Council of Europe.  

 

Following last years successful trips to Germany, Austria, Poland, France and Sweden

The Irish National Folk Company Youth Team  for 2011  will be selected in the next  few weeks.

The team will take part in several  European  Festivals and Events  in 2011

We are looking forward to this years Summer School when we will be very happy to meet many old friends once again and will have a special welcome for all who will join us for the first time this year.
